Eurofloat® Premium for Rijkswaterstaat

Leading maritime ropes supplier, Lankhorst Ropes, has supplied Rijkswaterstaat with Eurofloat® Premium safety lines at the Haringvliet Dam. Rijkswaterstaat is responsible for the Netherlands’ infrastructure facilities in including main road network, main waterway network and water systems.

Along with ball floats, Lankhorst’s floating high performance Eurofloat® Premium rope forms safety lines to prevent smaller vessels from entering certain parts of the waterway. Haringvliet Dam consist 17 sluices, dams and a shipping lock which close off the Haringvliet estuary between Goeree-Overflakkee and Voorne Putte. The Dam prevents flooding from the North Sea as well as controlling the flow of the Meuse and Rhine rivers.
