Lankhorst Ropes is very proud to announce that a few months ago Mark Brooks joined Offspring International, our worldwide agent in the deepwater mooring and single point mooring market. Mark is responsible for the SPM market.

He has over 18 years of experience in working in the fibre rope industry with direct association previously with Marlow Ropes and Bexco N.V.

Mark started in the R&D department at Marlow in 1991, progressing through QA, Data Management, Production, internal sales and external sales, finally responsible for South East Asian SPM market. Past 6,5 years with Cosalt/Bexco responsible for global SPM business development and sales.

He was involved with the first fibre rope manufacture to successfully qualify SPM Mooring Hawsers to the latest OCIMF 2000 "Guidelines for the Purchasing & Testing of SPM Hawsers".

Next to that Mark was involved firstly in Polyester Tether Ropes for Petrobras supplied by Marlow in 1996 and subsequently world first utilising polyester and UHMPE materials. 

Mark Brooks has a HNC-BTEC qualification in Mechanical & Manufacturing engineering and an Advanced Certificate in Overseas Trade (Pt.1) - Institute of Export (UK).
