Successful DNV test of the Gama98® HMPE (Dyneema®) rope

Quintas Gama98® HMPE (Dyneema®) rope, with a Ø 183 mm – almost two times the size of a mobile phone – was manufactured with the latest fibre rope technology. In February 2009 it was successfully tested in Det Norske Veritas (DNV) laboratories, in Bergen - Norway. |

The rated Minimum Breaking Load (MBL) of the Gama98® rope is 1800 tonnes.
The obtained value was 2004 tonnes.
More than fulfilling the MBL required, Gama98® HMPE rope passed the mystic 2000 tonnes value!!!
