Petrobras Contract – Deepwater Mooring Ropes
Jose Luis Gramaxo, President / CEO of the Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group said: “We should produce where the market it. And to confirm this we have recently signed a contract to supply Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) with approximately 11,000 tons of deepwater mooring ropes with a value of around US$ 75 million. This contract is probably the largest contract ever awarded to produce deepwater mooring ropes for oil and gas platforms in the world."
The new industrial unit will also supply ropes to the local maritime market for tug boats, tankers and other types of shipping vessels.
